NamcoBandai x Tecmo-Koei

29 08 2011

What is it all about I don’t know. However is you click on this link you are taken to a page that has a timer on it which is set to expire sometime around 11 am EST next Monday.

Outside of a new title its more of a question of what kind of title. Since 2007 both companies have collaborated on 3 Dynasty Warriors Games (btw you should check out my DWG3 review here ) maybe its a new DWG game or maybe its going to be a cross fighter involving both companies popular titles. In NamcoBandai’s case that would include Pac-Man, Tekken, Soulcalibur, Ace Combat, Ridge Racer, Klonoa. Where Tecmo-Koei. would include Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Wariiors,  Monster Rancher, Rygar, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Nobunaga’s Ambition. Man what I would give to see Lu Bu shove his Halberd into Nightmare’s stupid face. We will have to wait till next Monday so stay tuned for that.

http://koeiwarriors.co.uk/ seems to think its a One Piece Musou game.

“A reliable leak from Jump magazine has strongly hinted about a game with the title ワンピース 海賊無双 One Piece Kaizoku Musou. This is said to be published by Bandai-Namco and developed by KOEI-Tecmo, which would be the same as what was hinted in the teaser site posted previously. This would also mean One Piece will be the third official KOEI franchise Warriors after Gundam and Fist of the North Star, and the direct translation of the title could be One Piece: Pirate Warriors.”

The leak also mentioned that this game will be exclusive for the PlayStation 3, which is also in accordance with the teaser site which currently also shows “For PS3″
