Weekend Box Office Report: 3/25/2012

After a lengthy hiatus, digitaldailyfix.com has brought back its weekend box office report and just in the nick of time.  The Hunger Games, an action film based on the popular novels by Suzanne Collins posted the third best opening weekend ever of $155,000,000.  This is just $3 million less than The Dark Knight and $18 million less than Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II21 Jump Street dropped 40% to a second place finish with $21,300,000, and Dr. Seuss continues to roll over in his grave as The Lorax raked in another $13 million to put its box office total at $177,000,000.  Listed below is the top 10 for the weekend of 3/25/2012 (source:  boxofficemojo.com)
