Castlevania Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate 3DS E3 2012

7 06 2012

So Konami is really coming out with a couple of Castlevania games centered around Lords of Shadow. Players step into the role of multiple generations of Belmonts and are able to pass on abilities down to the next generation as they go, which is an especially great concept for Castlevania lore nerds. MercurySteam’s impressive visual work in Lords of Shadow has carried over to the 3DS as well, with one of the best-looking games I’ve seen on the handheld.

Dawnguard Gameplay E3 2012

6 06 2012

So I loved Skyrim and have been waiting patiently for the first expansion/dlc content with Dawnguard my prayers to Talos have been answered. Especially since I can go around as a giant grotesque bat. And crossbows are cool I hope to put a scope on it :P.

Hawken a game with Giant Mechs.

6 06 2012

So I would like to take the time to point out that I am a huge fan of giant mechs. This has been going since the days of Mechwarrior and Cyberstorm. So having not played a decent giant mech game since Chromehounds I can’t wait to sit in the cockpit of the mechs in Hawken. And these gameplay videos make me want it even more.

Add the Last of Us to the List of Game Coming in 2013

6 06 2012

If the E3 footage of The Last of Us floored you like it did all of us, then you will be very disappointed to know the title won’t be out this year. Son’y Shuhei Yoshida was recently quoted as saying the game is just not ready and will be looking at a 2013 launch. All I know is the Mayans better be writing up another 12 months right the hell now because if I die before playing this and Tomb Raider there will be hell to pay!

Lookout World, Ken’s Got More Rage to Dish Out in the New Fist of the North Star Game

6 06 2012

Not a drop of gameplay to show, but Tecmo Koei wanted to let you know that Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 is coming and if you don’t pick it up… well… I don’t have to tell you what you already are…

If you are unfamiliar with the first game, it’s essentially the anime thrown into a Dynasty Warriors title with it’s own twists to be authentic to the show.

Injustice Gameplay: DC Hero Fighting Goodness

6 06 2012

NetherRealm Studios is putting together a DC fighting game set for 2013 that is shaping up to be it’s own kind of awesome monster. Ed Boon was in the G4 studios to show off some gameplay and discuss the game. Take a look.

I really feel this footage shows the game is shaping up to be a different experience from Mortal Kombat and I for one am pumped to play it next year.

Wii U Has Some Problems

6 06 2012

After a lackluster conference yesterday a lot of journalists got some more details on the working of the Wii U. Most have been pleased with the way the console plays and games like ZombiU have people intrigued, but nothing has really hit home as a console seller just yet. Apart from the positive feedback though a bit of news regarding performance and the controller itself is a bit troubling.

Wreck it Ralph Official Trailer debuts at E3

6 06 2012

OK its not exactly gaming news BUT it is a movie about games.

Wreck-It Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) longs to be as beloved as his game’s perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer). Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes… so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch), Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan — win a medal — but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph’s only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman), a young troublemaking “glitch” from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy.

The trailer had debuted at E3 this year and just by looking at that trailer its definitely going to make-a da money.
