SDCC: Avengers 2 aka Age of Ultron

20 07 2013

That’s not a typo before the end of the Panel Joss Whedon game out to reveal the title for the next Avengers movie as Age of Ultron. WHAT! So whatever happens in that Ant Man movie I must assume Ultron is involved now. What does this mean for Thanos well he could appear in Guardians of the Galaxy and help set up what would happen in Avengers 3.  Earlier in the night Tom Hiddleston came out and impregnated the audience. And with the announcement of Avenger: Age of Ultron all those impregnated women just gave birth. Avengers: Age of Ultron is right now slated for 2015.

SDCC: Robocop rated PG-13

20 07 2013

And the heading says the new Robocop movie directed by Jose Padilha and star Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) in the lead role of Alex Murphy/Robocop. The film also stars: Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel and Abbie Cornish. The remake will be in theaters February 7th, 2014.

This coming out of the panel for Robocop at SDCC one of the quotes coming out of the panel was that “We are shooting this movie to be seen by wide an audience as possible.” That is a dead give away for PG-13 which already doesn’t make me happy. But to quote Matt “If Robocop runs at any point during that movie. I’m walking out.”

Update: For added effect and humor and because this was more exciting that hearing that Robocop is pg-13.

SDCC: Dead Space……”The Movie”

18 07 2013

So there was a panel as SDCC that discussed Video Games in Movies. One of the things to come out of it was the fact that Dead Space “The Movie” is in full swing. Its being written by Justin Marks notoriously known to have written Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.

At the panel he had this to say

“We decided we have to pitch the projects as scripts,” O’Brien said of EA’s decision to oversee any future movies based on their video games. “EA was batting 0 for 5 before we began funding scripts. We’ve had our knocks in the studio system.” However, those of you thinking that this guarantees a faithful adaptation may be disappointed to learn that they’re planning on taking it in a slightly different direction as the action and tone is a little too similar to some other well know sci-fi horror movies. “You would be making ‘Event Horizon’ or ‘Alien’. I’ve already seen that movie.”

Dead Space “The Movie” coming to theaters or better yet to Red Box, Flixster, and Netflix near you.
